Moulin à huile d'olive & Domaine Bastide du Laval is located in Cadenet, in the heart of the Luberon.
It is a family-run organic farm with around 4,000 olive trees spread over 15 hectares. They produce their own oils and also process olives from local producers.
Carine and Roland Coupat are the owners, and their oils have won numerous awards.
Admission is free and, in addition to tours in English, French or German, we were pleasantly surprised to meet a Spanish-speaking member of the team, who explained the different stages of the production process to us. We also enjoyed an olive oil tasting.
They have a very well-stocked épicerie, where you can buy a wide range of products from local producers.
