Relais des Fumades was founded in 1967 by a truck driver who knew very well the essence of the Routier tradition and the needs of his fellow drivers. It offers accommodation and meals in a simple, unpretentious setting, yet one that is very comfortable.

Although we arrived around closing time for the kitchen, at 2 p.m., we were welcomed with great friendliness and served promptly.

The menu is simple, with daily specials and a buffet offering salads and local charcuterie. The food is homemade, and the atmosphere is friendly and familiar, welcoming both tourists and working people.

We had grilled chicken with rice and the catch of the day with French fries.

For dessert, we had fruit salad and flan.

Drinks and cocktails can be enjoyed at the bar.

It has a huge parking area used as a truck stop. We did not check whether motorhomes are allowed to park there, although we believe they probably are.

There are also showers available for people spending the night in their trucks.

It is important to highlight the role these Relais Routiers play for people who work on the road, spending many days away from home and their families.
